I'm the sole creator of StudyHaven, and I take your privacy seriously. This policy outlines how I collect, use, and protect your data when you use StudyHaven.

Data I Collect

To build a high-performance, secure, and helpful tool, certain analytics and services are integrated. Here is the list of partners and what is stored:

1. Matomo Web Analytics

A privacy-friendly analytics tool to understand general website interactions. I collect data on:

  • Worksheets and questions created
  • General active time and page visits
  • Approximate location (based on IP)

2. Umami Web Analytics

Gathering similar high-level interactions without invading personal space:

  • Worksheet and PDF creation events
  • Device type and browser user-agent

3. Dodo Payments

Handles subscription billing. I do not collect or store credit card details:

  • Email address & account link
  • Transaction history and details

4. Paddle Billing

Handles transactions and purchases securely:

  • User email & checkout information

5. Cloudflare Security

Used for security shields, performance optimization, and asset hosting. IP addresses may be processed for request checking.

6. Supabase & Hetzner

Supabase hosts our encrypted databases. Hetzner provides hosting servers. Data stored is solely username, email, and password hashes.

7. Discord OAuth (Optional Authentication)

If you choose to register/log in via Discord, we only query the following parameters:

  • Your registration email address
  • Discord username and avatar thumbnail

How I Use Your Data

  • Understanding Usage Patterns: Analytics help me see which features are popular and where improvements are needed.
  • Measuring Success: I track how often users create worksheets, questions, and tests to calibrate database usage.
  • Processing Payments: Billing processors handles transactions and validates checkout tokens against accounts.

Protecting Your Data

  • Encryption: Password variables are cryptographically hashed prior to entry storage.
  • Limited Access: Access to database records is restricted to security checks.

What Data is Public?

Discord Username and Avatar: Your Discord username and avatar are public only if you post, comment, or star a resource post.
